For over a decade, as a musician, she enriched the Bay Area with unusual “concerts” engaging the hearts and souls of many who were bedbound, rehabilitating, or in hospice care. She inspirited wheelchair dancing in the halls, had doctors and nurses shaking their hips, and through a combination of ancient sound medicine and improvisation, orchestrated mythical, rather unusual death ceremonies.
Energetic Architect
She was discovered by the very first Creative Therapy Team at California Pacific Medical Center and spent several years as their “resident creative” supporting the therapists with her intuitive process of bringing art, music and movement into the often-disheartening realm of modern healthcare.
She grew up studying dance and trained as an Iyengar Yoga Instructor in San Francisco which included an apprenticeship with renowned instructor, Judith Hanson Lasater. She taught creative yogic movement classes during this time, again marrying her artistic talents with the healing arts.
